CSS drop-down menu is hidden behind a hidden iframe PDF

Tried searching for a solution here…not luck yet. I have a page with a div drop down menu and links for random information going to an iframe. Now when the iframe loads a pdf, the drop down menus hide behind it. just about running out of ideas, played with z-indexs and such but nothing. only…
